Maureen Cole, Penguin, Portfolio, YPG Planning Committee President

Maureen Cole is a Publicist at Portfolio, the business imprint of Penguin Group USA. Before joining Penguin, she worked in the publicity department at Cambridge University Press. She is a graduate of the NYU Summer Publishing Institute and holds a bachelor's degree in English from Loyola College in Maryland.

Lisa LaPoint, Harvard University Press

Lisa LaPoint is a senior publicist at Harvard University Press in Cambridge, MA. Prior to relocating to Boston, she was in the trade group at Cambridge University Press and before that at St. Martin's Press, both in New York. While at Cambridge she oversaw events for the YPG. She graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in Urban Studies and History.

Joseph Berkowitz, McGraw-Hill

Joseph Berkowitz is currently an assistant editor at McGraw-Hill Professional. He works on a variety of books in the business field. Previously Joseph worked in the sales department at Penguin Young Readers Group. He has an MS in Publishing from Pace University.

Stephanie Bowen, Doubleday Publishing Group

Stephanie Bowen is an assistant editor at Doubleday, an imprint of the Knopf-Doubleday Publishing Group, which is a division of Random House, Inc. She works on history, biography, memoir, travel, pop psychology, political theory and current affairs books. She has also edited cookbooks and self-help and personal finance titles. In college, she worked as an editorial assistant at Northwestern University Press. Stephanie is a recent graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish.

Kate Childs, Random House

Kate Childs is the assistant to the president and publisher of Random House Publishing Group. Before joining Little Random, she participated in the Random House Associates Program with the Crown Publishing Group. Kate graduated with an honors degree in government and an art minor from Hamilton College.

Mark Doyle, DC Comics/Vertigo

Mark Doyle is an assistant editor at DC Comics/Vertigo, working on a variety of graphic novels and monthly comics. Before Vertigo, Mark worked as a development assistant for ABC News. Mark graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Film and Television.

Beth Harper, HarperCollins

Beth Harper is an associate publicist at HarperCollins Publishers. In addition to book publicity, she also works on audiobook publicity for HarperAudio. Beth graduated from Duke University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and French.

Christine Hung, Random House

Christine Hung is an online marketing associate at Random House, Inc. Previously, Christine worked in editorial for Avalon Books and received her bachelor’s degree in English from New York University.

Haley Pierson, Newmarket Press

Haley Pierson is the Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Newmarket Press. A lover of words, she got her first taste of book publishing at the University of Michigan Introduction to Book Publishing Workshop, which ultimately inspired her to make the move from the Mitten to the Big Apple. Haley holds a BA in Creative Writing & Comparative Literature from the Residential College at the University of Michigan.

Jessica Rotondi, St. Martin's Press

Jessica Rotondi is a publicity assistant at St. Martin's Press, a division of Macmillan, where she works on a variety of fiction and non-fiction trade titles. Before coming to St. Martin's, she worked in publicity for Hyperion Books. As an undergraduate, Jessica interned in the editorial department at Blackwell Publishing in Boston. She holds an honors degree in Creative Nonfiction from Brown University.
